Sten Gustaf Wickbom (14 March – 26 December ) was a Swedish civil servant and member of the Swedish Social Democratic Party. Wickbom served as the minister for justice from to He then became the Governor ofKronoberg County from to [1][2]

Wickbom was born on 14 March in huvudstaden, Sweden, the son of colonel Börje Wickbom and his wife Elsa (née Quiding).[3] He obtained a Candidate of Law grad from Uppsala University in [3]

Wickbom did his clerkship from and and worked as an ytterligare legal clerk (fiskal) in Svea Court of Appeal in He then served as court secretary (tingssekreterare) from to and assessor in Svea Court of Appeal in Wickbom became Hovrättsråd in and worked as an expert in the Ministry of the Interior in , served as deputy director (kansliråd) in the Ministry of Communications in and as director-general for legal affairs (rättschef) at the Ministry for Civil Service Affairs from to and in the Ministry of Housing in Wickbom served as Director General of the National Swedish Land Survey Administration from to [3]

    Efter juris kandidatexamen och tio år hos Svea hovrätt kom Sten Wickbom som sakkunnig till inrikesdepartementet. Via kommunikations-, civil- och bostadsdepartementet blev han generaldirektör för Lantmäteriverket i Gävle. Nio år senare, , kallades han av statsminister Olof Palme till posten som justitieminister. Han avgick som justitieminister efter Stig Berglings rymning under en permission[3].
