Constructing a sofa that will meet today’s expectations and requirements requires a lot of planning. We at BD make it from scratch!
In our production facilities, we manufacture most of what is included in our furniture. Wooden frames are produced in our carpentry, bentwood is refined in the press plant, our patented metal components and mechanisms are made in the metal department. Cushions are molded, the foam and wadding are cut in the urethane department. Sewing and upholstering departments complete the work into a finished piece of furniture.
Everything under one roof forms the basis for guaranteeing quality, efficiency and climate-smart choices. We protect the materials in our products and collaborate with some of Europe’s most prominent raw material producers. In our furniture you won’t find shavings or mdf boards. We use birch veneer in frames and solid oak in visible wood details. The suspension is metal (no-zag), the pads are cast in water-based urethane or cut in polyether. To get a soft surface, we wrap the cushions in wadding. Cutting to surface material, sewing, knitting and wallpapering is done by our well-trained staff.
